Next Saturday, June 20, "A Second Helping" begins its 11th year of collecting all foodstuffs, perishable and non-perishable to distribute to the needy families of Brunswick County, NC. Monetary contributions are gratefully accepted, 100% of which goes to buy anywhere from 5 to 8 lbs. of food for each $1 received.
Collections are passed on to two of the local churches which handle getting it to these families and individuals.
Many thanks again to all the departing vacationers and locals who have made this ministry so successful, as well as inspired other vacation sites to set up similar programs.
